Tasmin + Ant - Modern, Vibrant Wedding at Preston Court, Canterbury

WOW! I don’t even know where to start with these two and their spectacular wedding day! Firstly, Tasmin and Ant are two of the loveliest people you could meet and an absolutely adorable couple. They bounced off each other and kept each other laughing the whole day.

They got married at the magical Preston Court Wedding Venue, which is a particular favourite of mine. I love the chilled yet theatrical vibe of Preston Court, the carousel and huge organ make it so unique. Bex The Celebrant married the two of them in a beautifully personal, humanist ceremony. It was perfect. I really recommend hiring a celebrant who makes the ceremony feel effortless and intimate while allowing the couple to laugh throughout.

Helaina helped execute Tasmin and Ant’s vision perfectly. Fun and vibrant styling with a playful touch. I loved every detail. Tasmin’s sequin Love in Lace Bridal dress and Ant’s super cool pink suit. The disco balls and array of pink bridesmaid’s dresses. The stunning flowers by The Blume Studio. The Hollywood waves and the bold lip. The quirky streamers draping from the ceiling by the fabulous Streamadelica, something I’d never seen at a wedding before and I’d love to see again.

They had some fairground games to keep the guests entertained and a drinks station for the alcohol loving guests but also soft drinks for those that chose not to drink. Ant designed and made all of the funky wedding stationary himself which I definitely think trumps any other groom I’ve met, ha! Their two cute furbabies came along for photos and of course I was thrilled. Always happy to shoot pups at weddings!

They had a booze bath, a kissing booth and a ‘Take a Shot’ wall as a seating plan. Everyone downs a shot of tequila as they enter the wedding breakfast and at the bottom of the glass is your table number! Genius!! There was a phone message guest book (another new one for me!) and a wild game of tug of war which ended up flooring more than one of the guests, ha!

We made the most of the yummy golden hour light by bringing the bridal party out to a nearby field for a ‘dance off’. I think you’ll agree Ant won hands down. Tasmin and Ant chose Girls That Mix for their party and what a great decision that was. A fabulous all female group that play sax, bongos and dj! What more could you want.

This will for sure be a wedding I will never forget.
